I feel I am much better than my felllow cosmetologists on mens cuts and that they can actually be harder than women's haircuts. Anyone who has done skin Fades or flat tops will understand what I am saying.
A barber has more of an Idea what to do with mens cuts, as a beautician has more of an Idea with Woman's cuts. What is the difference between a barber and a beautician?
A skin fade,,is where you start on the bottom of the scalp with skin,,,,or no guard and fade it up to ,,how ever long they want it on the top.

What is the difference between a barber and a beautician?
I think a barber is mainly hair cuts. Someone that wants a trim or a basic cut. Beautician is more for advice, harder cuts and styling as well a many other aspects of beauty knowledge like make-up, waxing, coloring, etc
A barber does men only, they aren't trained how to color, perm, or style hair as a bueatitian does. That is why men go to barbers and women go to bueatitians.
they have different trianing and licenses
a barber is sort of a specialist in men's grooming
A barber will cut your hair give you a shave, but won't style your hair like a beautician will.
Most men will say they are going to a barber, most women will say they are going to a beautician.
